1 Juni 2021 New season KX85 keeps the flame alive

Moving into the 2022 season the rider and parent favourite KX85 – in small and big wheel variant – is once more a key part of the Kawasaki motocross offering.

Benefiting in recent years from a slew of upgrades, most recently the machine that has filled countless trophy cabinets acquiring a new six speed gearbox and durability upgrades to the connecting rod small and big end bearing surfaces adding further to its paddock reputation for performance and longevity.

Cool looks and cooling ability are well catered for with the recent change to the shroud configuration pushing more air towards the radiator of the water-cooled 84cm3 powerplant and usefully echoing the looks of the larger machines in the KX range.

Allied to slim ergonomics, the KX85 also offers up to six different handlebar positions allowing a multiple range of rider heights and sizes to be accommodated comfortably. And, on the subject of height; Kawasaki are proud to once more offer the KX85 in both small and large wheel guises allowing riders to move up the ranks while riding a familiar machine. For parents of course it means all those maintenance skills acquired on the smaller wheeled KX85 carry across to the larger bike ensuring efficiency where it is needed most – on track.

From its petal discs and 36mm inverted front fork to a Uni-Trak rear end and black alumite coated wheel rims, the KX85 for 2022 is demanding riders add another shelf to the cabinet in readiness for more silverware.
